The quickest way is inside the app: Settings → About → Send feedback or Report a problem; the second one drafts the email with your app version, phone model, OS version and the app's recent error list, all visible in the draft so you can delete anything before sending. Never include medical details you'd rather not email.

Where is my data? On your phone only. There's no account and no cloud. Use Settings → Export backup to make a copy you control.

I got a new phone. Three ways, pick one. (1) If you had Back up to Google Drive automatically on (ShotPlot Plus), install ShotPlot, tap Had ShotPlot before? Restore a backup on the empty Today screen (or Settings → Backup & export → Restore a backup), sign in with the same Google account and pick the most recent day. (2) Export a backup on the old phone (Settings → Export backup (JSON)), send it to yourself, then Restore a backup → Choose a backup file on the new one. (3) On iPhone, setting the new phone up from an iCloud Backup or Quick Start brings ShotPlot's records along too. On Android, the phone's own device backup does not carry ShotPlot's records (only its settings), so use (1) or (2) — export a backup before you wipe or hand in the old phone. Your app lock and its PIN never travel: set them up again on the new phone.

Automatic backup: what exactly happens? (ShotPlot Plus; Google Drive on Android and on iPhone — the same hidden folder, so a backup made on one restores on the other.) Whenever something changed — and at most once an hour — ShotPlot writes its backup file into a hidden folder of your Google Drive that only ShotPlot can see. One file per day, the last 30 days kept; restore any of them from Restore a backup. We never see the files: there is no ShotPlot server. Delete all removes them from your Drive; Disconnect signs the app out of Google on that phone. Your Plus purchase is not in the backup — it comes back through the store on any phone signed in to the same Google or Apple account.

Is my data backed up if I don't pay? Export backup (JSON) makes a file you keep wherever you like (Drive, Files, email — anywhere), and Restore a backup reads it back; both are free. On iPhone the iCloud device backup includes ShotPlot's records as well; on Android the device backup does not (the records stay on the phone unless you export them). Plus adds the automatic daily copy to your own Google Drive and the one-tap restore.

Reminders aren't firing. Allow notifications for ShotPlot in your phone's settings, turn off battery optimisation for the app on Android (Settings → Apps → ShotPlot → Battery → Unrestricted), and keep the app installed — reminders are scheduled locally.

I don't want the medicine's name on my lock screen. Switch on Settings → Reminders → Discreet reminders. Reminders then say only that a dose is due ("Dose due — Open ShotPlot for the details"), with no medicine name, dose, route, site or instructions; on Android they also go to a channel whose lock-screen visibility is private, so the locked phone shows only that ShotPlot has a notification. The app lock (Settings → Privacy lock) covers what a notification action would do: a "Log taken" tap from a notification waits until the app is unlocked.

Reminders arrive a few minutes late (Android). Android 12 and later only fire a reminder at the exact minute if "Alarms & reminders" is allowed for the app, and Android 14 turns it off for new installs. In ShotPlot open Settings → Reminders → Exact timing and tap Allow, or go to Android Settings → Apps → ShotPlot → Alarms & reminders. Without it reminders still come, but the system may hold them back to save battery.

The site suggestion is wrong for me. Long-press a zone on the Sites tab to mark it off-limits, adjust the rest period in Settings, or just pick a different zone when logging — the suggestion is a convenience, not medical advice. Ask your clinician about where and how to inject.

I'm on a GLP-1 — how do I add it? Meds → Add, start typing the name — Ozempic, Wegovy (pen or tablets), Mounjaro, Zepbound, Rybelsus, Trulicity, Victoza, Saxenda, Foundayo, Byetta, Bydureon BCise, or a compounded semaglutide / tirzepatide — and pick it from the list (typos are fine). The type, route, unit, first dose and the weekly or daily schedule fill in, with the label's common doses as chips. A Step up per the label switch turns the US label's escalation into a step-up plan (for example 0.25 mg × 4 weeks → 0.5 mg, then stays) on the same weekday each week; every step is editable, and the switch is off unless you turn it on. Your prescriber's plan always wins — the presets are conveniences from the public prescribing information, not advice; if your doctor gave you different steps, use those.

Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, dosed in units? Pick the entry and enter the vial strength printed on the label (mg/mL). ShotPlot then shows your units as milligrams, offers the usual doses in units for that vial (2.5 mg/mL → 0.25 mg is 10 units on a U-100 syringe), and prints the mg equivalent next to each dose on Today. Change the strength when the pharmacy sends a different vial.

Can I track more than one injectable? Yes — every medication has its own schedule, and site rotation counts every injection of the same route (subcutaneous or intramuscular) across all of them.

What is free and what is ShotPlot Plus? Everything you need to inject safely is free and stays free: logging, reminders, the body map and next-site suggestion, every medication you take, your full history, the summary report, weigh-ins with the smoothed trend chart and logbook, backup and export, the app lock and stock alerts. ShotPlot Plus is a one-time purchase — not a subscription — that adds your shots and dose level on the weight chart, the goal projection with milestones, weight import from Apple Health / Health Connect, automatic backup to your own Google Drive with one-tap restore on a new phone, Android or iPhone, seasonal looks, and the full doctor-visit report (every injection with its site, reaction and notes, for any date range), plus the insight features we add later at no extra cost. I bought Plus on my iPhone. Why is it locked on my Android phone (or the other way round)? Plus is sold separately on iPhone and Android, because ShotPlot has no accounts to tie a purchase to. A purchase unlocks Plus on every device signed in to the same Apple Account (Family Sharing included) or the same Google account.

How do I get Plus back on a new phone? Install ShotPlot, sign in to the store with the same Apple Account or Google account, then open Settings → ShotPlot Plus → Restore purchases. Restoring a backup brings back your records, not the purchase — the store does that.

Refunds. Purchases are billed by Apple or Google and refunds go through them: on iPhone, reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, the Google Play order history or play.google.com/store/account. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves. Email us anyway if something went wrong — we want to know.

I have a code. Open Settings → ShotPlot Plus → Redeem a code. It opens the App Store or Google Play redemption screen; Plus unlocks when you return to the app.

Weight: what is the "trend" line? The scale moves a pound or two a day with water and food; the trend smooths that out (the same idea as Happy Scale's moving average, with a slope so it doesn't lag a steady loss). Weigh at the same time each day, log every reading — several on one day are fine, the trend uses the lowest — and judge yourself by the line, not the dot.

Weight: the projected goal date changed. It follows your trend over the last couple of weeks, so it moves as your rate moves. Set a commitment pace in Weight → Goal & settings if you want a fixed plan instead. ShotPlot does not recommend a goal or a pace; ask your clinician.

Weight: readings from my scale. With ShotPlot Plus, switch on Import weight from Apple Health / Health Connect in Weight → Goal & settings. It reads weight only and the readings stay on your phone. A second switch, Write weigh-ins to Apple Health / Health Connect (Settings → Weight), sends the weigh-ins you type into ShotPlot the other way; readings that came from Health are never written back. On Android you need Health Connect installed (built into Android 14 and later).

Bringing in the history from my old scale app. Export your weights from that app as a CSV or Excel file (most scale apps have Export data in their settings), save it on the phone, then open Settings → Weight → Import weigh-ins from a file. ShotPlot finds the date and weight columns itself, shows how many readings it found and over which dates, lets you fix the unit if the file doesn't say, and skips anything already in the app — so importing the same file twice adds nothing. Imported readings are marked "from file" in the logbook. This is free.

Only my most recent weight came in from Health Connect. Health Connect shows an app only the last 30 days of readings until that app is allowed to read past data. ShotPlot asks for that when you switch the import on; if you skipped it, tap Import now on the Weight tab — the summary says what Health Connect returned and offers Allow past data — or open Health Connect → App permissions → ShotPlot and allow past data there, then import again. If Health Connect itself only holds recent readings (some scale apps sync only new measurements to it), check the scale app's Health Connect setting — and if the app has a Health Connect switch but only started syncing recently, export its history as a file and use Import weigh-ins from a file for the rest.
